Abbot Outdoors is owned and operated by John Kelly. John is a highly experienced hill walker, mountaineer and expedition leader. John is a member of the Mountain Leader Training Association, is qualified to run bronze and silver award training for the National Navigation Award Sceme, is a member of the Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team and is an instructor with Survival School.

John has access to a team of highly skilled and experienced outdoor instructors including International Mountain Leaders, Survival Instructors and Expedition Leaders. Whatever your requirements, Abbot Outdoors has the staff to give you what you need...with efficiency, humour and professionalism.

John will pick the location course depending on the type of instruction required. For classroom based activities the Forest Education Centre on Staffordshire's beautiful Cannock Chase provides the perfect setting. For more rigorous courses locations such as the Black Mountains, Dartmoor, Snowdonia and Skye's Cuillin can be chosen. Locations can be chosen to suit the clients needs and preferences.
